Luis Miranda and Aliss Hartmann Finca Momoto isnamed after the beautiful and enigmatic blue-crowned momot, a bird found in the forests surrounding the farm. Situated amongst the pristine wilderness of Santa Clara, Panama, FincaMomoto is perched at an ideal1500 meters above sea levelon a mountain range that receives cool air from thetradewinds coming from the CaribbeanSea.


The perfect climate to produce exceptional coffees. Its founders, Luis Miranda and AlissHartmann,bring a holistic philosophy to coffee farming emphasising social responsibility and implementation of sustainable practices. Geisha stands out for its jasmine, rose tea, panela, lime and red fruits flavors among other traits. Panama Geisha has been adapting to our blessed local micro climate since the 1960's and we believe this is why it is the best in the world.



note สายพันธุ์ที่น่าสนใจของฟาร์มนี้ Afri Bongo This lot is a rare heirloom variety brought to Panama many years ago from the coffee forests of Ethiopia. It has thrived in its new home producing a complex and interestingcup. this one has green tip leaf as well. It is very elegant with notes of apricot, sweet strawberries, honey, melon and a floral end. Its velvety texture would round up this elegant coffee.

Aframaro One of three rare and exotic varieties that we grow. This is a bronze tip coffee plant brought in recently to Panama. We normally experience exotic coffee flavor such as coconut, mulberries, raspberry and floral notes of orange blossom.

Abisinia Another one of our rare coffee. This one is green tip leaf and Geisha type plant structure. It is very delicate and delicious with very floral notes of Jasmin and magnolia as well as flavors of peaches, mulberries, orange, and honey.

THE WORKERS Our three permanent employees belong to the indigenous Knobe Bugle tribe of Panama. The team is composed of: Mwiaancito, who is the team leader, Bonifacio and Clemente. As nature lovers, they are dedicated to the stewarship of the farm. They hold traditional values that grants them the ability to care for the coffee trees as if they were their own babies. Their indigenous nature provides them high levels of energy that subscribes to their daily tasks. Furthermore they posses a high level of curiosity and a willingness to learn as much as possible about coffee in order to provide you with the best coffee our beautiful land has to offer. We are blessed to have them at Momoto.
